Meet our Staff

Babs Kesterson has been with Dr. Barkley since he opened his practice. Having worked the front desk as well as being his dental assistant, she has knowledge of all areas of the office. Currently, she works with insurance and billing and is available to answer any questions you may have regarding your insurance coverage and benefits. Babs is married with three children and six grandchildren. She lives in Hendersonville and attends Parkway Baptist Church.

Joy Carroll has been with Dr. Barkley since 1998. Usually she is the first voice you hear when you call our office. She will schedule appointments and answer many of your questions regarding your treatment and financial arrangements. Married, with three children and seven grandchildren, Joy stays busy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and working in the yard.

Kim Shearon is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been working with Dr. Barkley since 1995. She graduated from Meharry/Tennessee State University in 1990. She currently lives in Hendersonville with her two daughters McKenzie and Lane. She is a member of Long Hollow Baptist Church. The thing that she loves the most about her job is that teeth are attached to people!

Candace Yates Ballard is one of three hygienists that work at Dr. Barkleys office. She is a 2002 graduate of Western Kentucky University where she completed the Dental Hygiene program and received a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating, Candace began working as a hygienist for Dr. Barkley. She loves being a hygienist because she is able to help her patients maintain a healthy smile for life! Candace has two daughters and currently resides in White House.

Maria Yates has worked for Dr. Barkley for seven years as one of the three hygienists. She is a 1994 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Married, with four children and three grandchildren, Marias hobbies include cooking, sewing, and reading mystery books.

Dana Stribling is a state licensed Registered Dental Assistant and is CPR certified. She attended Volunteer State Community College and received her RDA in 1990. She has worked for Dr. Barkley since 1995. Dana is married to Mark, and they have one son Shelby. She resides in White House. Dana enjoys working on cosmetic dentistry cases and finds it fulfilling to be a part of the process of transforming a patients smile into one of which they can be proud.

Tammy Dienema is a Registered Dental Assistant. She has worked for Dr. Barkley for six years and feels extremely blessed to have found such a great boss and dentist as well as coworkers who feel like her extended family. She loves her job and her patients. Tammy has been married to her best friend Geoff for ten years. They have been fostering children for the past four years.
